I am Ankur Sarkar, a passionate and detail-oriented 3D Artist specializing in 3D Modeling, Texturing, Concept Art, and CGI production for the gaming, animation, VFX, and digital entertainment industries. With strong expertise in Autodesk Maya, Blender, Substance Painter, Photoshop, and Adobe After Effects, I focus on creating visually compelling and technically optimized assets that meet modern production and game development standards. My workflow emphasizes clean topology, efficient UV mapping, realistic PBR texturing, lighting, rendering, and post-production compositing to deliver immersive visual experiences.
Over the years, I have developed a strong understanding of game-ready asset creation, cinematic visual development, and creative storytelling through digital media. I am experienced in creating environments, props, concept designs, and stylized as well as realistic assets tailored for gaming pipelines and animation workflows. My technical and artistic approach combines creativity with optimization, ensuring both visual quality and performance efficiency in production environments.
In addition to my artistic background, I worked as an Adobe Community Expert and Beta Tester under NDA, where I collaborated with creative professionals including photographers, designers, and videographers to test early-stage creative applications. This experience strengthened my problem-solving ability, communication skills, creative analysis, and understanding of professional production workflows in the creative industry.
During my academic journey at Brainware University, I actively contributed to multiple innovative projects as a Retoucher, Roto Artist, Director, Team Lead, and Filmmaker. I worked on a sand art animation project for the “34 Years of Excellence, Education & Innovation” initiative, participated in filmmaking competitions, and directed Bengal’s first mixed-media stop-motion animation project, “Project UMA.” I also directed “Project Sonarpur,” a GameBoy Advance-inspired 32-bit pixel-art animation and game project, along with “The Tides Reckoning,” an AI-animated short film created for the National Disaster Management Authority focused on Disaster Risk Reduction. These experiences helped me develop leadership, production management, storytelling, and multidisciplinary creative skills.
As a creative artist, I continuously explore new technologies and workflows in gaming, CGI, AI-assisted animation, and digital storytelling. I am highly passionate about creating cinematic visuals, immersive worlds, and innovative experiences that combine technology with artistic vision. My goal is to contribute to high-end game development, cinematic productions, and next-generation digital media projects while constantly evolving as a versatile and industry-ready artist.
